  • Best tool ever!! I hated chopping Kobo every time I make kobo rice. When you have this one dealing with Kobo becomes a piece of cake. This product is also very helpful when you prepare thin carrots for all over salad. I will buy more to give this to my friends as gifts.
    Amazing little tool I love this thing. I had been looking for julienne peeler and purchased this one after reading some people complain about the Oxo peeler. It's been greatI use it for carrots cucumbers apples etc. and made really nice looking salads and it takes me almost no time. I teach cooking classes and use it all the time and recommend it to all my students. The one thing to remember is that this is SHARP so be careful when washing it.
    Surprisingly useful alternative to mandoline I love julienned veges but when dealing with just one carrot eg for garnish it seems a tad excessive to assemble a mandoline then do the cleanup let alone pull out the food processor. This little gadget solves that problem perfectly. I've found the best way with carrots is to peel and trim both ends then julienne one half of the carrot working middle to end rotating a quarter every cut until you end up with a thin scrawny core attached to the rest of the carrot which then becomes the handle to julienne the other half of the carrot. I end up discarding the core no real tragedy there since the core is usually a little bitter and if not hey I'll just eat it.
    Better than I expected Not disappointed at all I'm very impressed with this peeler. I purchased this to make my zucchini spaghetti sauteed in EVOO garlic and a few spoons of pesto sauce. Yummy! It julienned my zucchini perfecly and came out just like spaghetti noodles. It worked much better than my mandoline and the cleanup was so easy. Buy this you won't be disappointed either.
    High Quality Peeler Nice sturdy peeler. Very sharp. It looks like it would last for years to come. The only down size is the Julienne size is a little too thin for Thai papaya salad. I had to return this and got the Kiwi Pro Slice Peeler perfect size for papaya salad. I found the Kiwi peeler at a local Asian supermarket for 3 bucks.
    jamimom This thing rocks I highly recommend! Very easy to use. I use a fork to hold my veggies in place works like a charm and the veggies look great in my rice paper wraps.
    Makes long strings of ginger carrots and most hard vegetables If you are planning to make thin needles or match sticks of ginger or other vegetables for garnish it's still best to use large thin vegetable knife Japanese saikiri knife and cut by hand. But if you are making a larger volume of julienne slice or you want long strings rather than short sticks this thing works the best. I'd still place the root vegetable on a cutting board and securely hold the vegetable while operating this peeler so that you can apply enough force and minimize the risk of slipping. Be careful about injury though most careful cooks find this safer than mandolines.
    Julienne This was purchased as a gift. It appears to be very good quality. I believe the recipient was quite pleased with the design. If I hear otherwise I will make an addendum.
    Julienne Peeler Excellent quality and very sharp. Worth the few extra dollars compared to less expensive ones. The cadillac of julienne peelers.
    Nice Peeler This Kuhn Rikon Julienne Peeler is a gem. It peels carrots very easily. After the carrot is julienned I cut the pieces cross cut about 11/2 2 in length. These are perfect in Vietnamese noodles or Chinese quick stir fry noodles. Yummy! Now I don't have to stand over the cutting board laboring over making julienned carrots. I could spend more time in enjoying treasured cooked meals.
