Still going strong after a year I purchased the hand blender because of its good price and I'm completely satisfied with it. It blends hot soups into creamed soups with ease and makes nice smoothies out of soft fruits and milk or yogurt. It rinses off easily and has a nice long cord for ease of access from outlet to your work area.I'm not sure why people have had problems. Either the quality control is poor my unit is well made but perhaps others are not? or perhaps people were using it to do inappropriate heavier tasks like those for an electric mixer or a big blender. It works great for say pureeing cooked cauliflower in broth to make cream of cauliflower soup and cooked black beans to make bean puree added to chili it's smooth and delicious BTW. Also worked well with berries and yogurt.The one reviewer's complaint that the button hurt her finger after pushing so hard tells me that some people might be using this say to mash potatoes or for other heavy jobs. True there is a point on the button odd design but you're not pushing the button for minutes at a time. It's meant to be pushed intermittently in bursts. The diameter of the blades is about 1 to 1.5 inchesyou're not going to be mashing a big pot of potatoes with this tool. That would be like cleaning your kitchen floor with a toothbrush.Anyway I love this tool and love not having the mess of making hot pureed soups in a blender.
Love It This product is well worth the price. Makes quick work of pureeing soups and smoothies right in the pot or bowl.

Great product This was a great purchase! I have used it on multiple occasions to make protein shakes/smoothies. You can't beat the price! It's a cheap price but NOT a cheaply made product. It gets the job done.
Soup making made easy I bought this to help puree soups in the pot so that I would not have to pour hot soup in batches into the blender. Now I can make sqaush soup and puree it in the pot. It worked as advertised and I had no problems whatsoever. I've only had it a couple of weeks but I already love it.
Great purchase This was a great purchase. Super easy to use and clean very effective. A perfect way to make creamy soups without adding dairy or cornstarch. It also takes up very little room in the cupboard which is an added bonus for those with limited space.
Very happy with this Hand Blender I got this over a year ago and have been very happy with the performance of this Hand Blender. So far it's holding up to frequent use with no problems.It's great for pureeing soups such as black bean soups where you take out half the soup puree and add back to the rest and also for making baby food at home.I got it for $12 and it's something I find myself using a lot more than I thought I would. I would buy it again.
Plenty Good This hand blender is better than the ones with all the contraptions added to themit's plenty good.It's solid state easy to handle and clean and does the job.Skip the expensive ones and buy this one.I have 2 at my house and I gave another one to my friend so I have it to use when I'm at his house.
Not Happy Blew on the first use. I bought this to use in home made soap making using it as recommended in 2030 second bursts in a liquid about as thick as hand lotion and then *poof* it blows a fuse and I'm finishing by hand. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.
